We partnered with the CEO and COO to create an action plan to address the Census results which was subsequently published on the Reef Authority’s website in accordance with APS requirements. Our approach included:
Attended a debrief with the APSC to gain insight into the Census findings
Undertook an independent, comprehensive review of both authority-wide and branch level Census findings
Conducted 1:1 meetings with each member of the Executive Management Group (EMB) to identify key focus areas to inform staff engagement.
Designed and facilitated a series of in person workshops open to all staff at all levels to seek input on an Authority-wide plan of actions whilst building and strengthening trust and connection across the workforce.
40% of staff participated in the process and over 400 ideas and actions were identified. The Zing team analysed all inputs and created an action plan with 5 areas of focus and corresponding specific actions achievable within the financial year.
Concentrating on 3-5 areas of improvement provides focus that increases the likelihood of success.
